Foreword
Dear Readers,
We are pleased to present you the new issue of bilig dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. This issue contains seven research articles and one book review. We believe that these studies will interest and inspire you.
With the acceleration of cooperation and integration efforts among Turkic states, there is a rapid increase in academic studies on the cultural richness and current issues of the Turkic world. Although this increase is positive, it is noteworthy that the academic products in the literature on the subject addressed in new studies are not read sufficiently. It is an indispensable prerequisite for a qualified study that the academic community is aware of each other, follows innovations and has a good command of the literature in the field. Otherwise, coming up with original studies that will contribute to the field is unlikely.
On November 3, 2023, Kazakhstan, which assumed the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States at the summit of heads of state held in Astana, declared the level reached by the integration of the Turkic world as the "Turkic Era" (TURK TIME). Each letter in the phrase TURK TIME (Tradition, Unification, Reform, Knowledge, Trust, Investment, Mediation, Energy) refers to the priority area of cooperation. Therefore, information is among the priorities of the Organization of Turkic States. From this point of view, we can
claim that the integration of the Turkic world is rising on the basis of knowledge, and we can foresee that cooperation activities in the field of education and science will intensify in the coming period. As bilig, we, together with our editorial board, authors, and referees, will continue to contribute to the future vision of the Organization of Turkic States with our efforts to strengthen the scientific knowledge infrastructure that will empower the unity of the Turkic world.
With these thoughts, we once again celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic, wish that the year 2024 will bring peace, tranquility and happiness to the Turkic world and all humanity, and we hope you will benefit from our new issue.
